A book to share and celebrate Peniche

We are making a book. More than just a book; an exercise in creating a valuable memory of a place, a history, a community. A treasure to share with those who visit and a celebration of what is dear to us.

A book to share and celebrate Peniche

We are making a book. More than just a book; an exercise in creating a valuable memory of a place, a history, a community. A treasure to share with those who visit and a celebration of what is dear to us.

Treasure
Map
And to discover this treasure what better way than a map, to follow and learn in real life and find new clues for new adventures.
The Whale that Swallowed a Spaniard
It all started in 2017 when Marco accepted the challenge to rediscover his homeland's stories and legends and wrote a book full of adventures that unveil a few millennia of plots and mysteries and highlight the richness of this peninsula and its surroundings.

For many, this book was also the key - or the map - to the discovery of Peniche and the many stories and treasures that our county holds.

Today, we have come to a new chapter of this book, a crossroad of new adventures!

Why make a book about a land?

To celebrate its history? Certainly, yes. To spark memory and imagination with the stories? Also, of course.

Behind it all is a greater desire, from this group of adventurers, to contribute to the feeling of our community's identity and create a piece that is beloved in many places.
